Aimee Pratt, CMP
Aimee began her working career in corporate America. She later went into business for herself, providing bookkeeping and accounting services for various small businesses.
In 2004, Aimee started to feel a strong desire to move her career in a different direction. For many years prior to this, Aimee had enjoyed learning about massage as a hobby. A close friend with her own successful massage practice encouraged Aimee to pursue her interest in massage more seriously, and offered helpful advice on getting started in the field.
Aimee attended and subsequently graduated from McKinnon Institute of Massage, obtaining her certification as a CMT (Certified Massage Therapist) according to the criteria at the time. She is trained and experienced in the modalities of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pregnant Woman & Infant, Reflexology, Craniosacral and Chair massage.
She serves clients throughout the East Bay and even San Francisco. Most of her client base live in the Pleasant Hill, Martinez, Walnut Creek, Alamo, Danville, Lafayette and Orinda areas. She also offers on-site chair massage to corporations or other entities interested in providing these benefits to employees or members. Because of her years in the corporate world, Aimee has an understanding of the clients she serves, and is excited about sharing the positive benefits of massage.
Aimee's work resume includes being affiliated with the John Muir Women's Health Center from December, 2005 through June, 2008, with a specialty in pregnancy massage. As a result of this experience, Aimee is one of the East Bay's pre-eminent pregnancy massage therapists. Aimee has since been certified in both Reflexology (June, 2008) and Craniosacral massage (April, 2010).
On June 18, 2010, Aimee received her certification as a Certified Massage Practitioner (CMP) under the newer and more stringent guidelines implemented by the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC). This additional certification provides a greater measure of comfort for existing and potential massage therapy clients, as well as enabling Aimee to legally work in any community throughout California.
Aimee is a member of ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals) and subscribes to the high standards and code of ethics of this association.
